Provides a outline of what students should learn in English-Language Arts and Math from kindergarten through 12th grade. The goal is to prepare students to be college and career ready.

Curriculum practitioners use the "backward design" method to align units with standards by beginning with the end in mind. Teachers determine desired outcomes, determine assessment and plan learning experiences and instruction.
Common Formative Assessments
Students are administered common assessments to assess student achievement in the areas of Reading and Mathematics. Teachers use generated data to make informed instructional decisions by assessing a few concepts frequently rather than many concepts infrequently.
